Trick or Treating
Safety Tips
  • Carry a flashlight to help see sidewalks, steps, and paths. (be sure to check the batteries and you may
    even want to use fresh/new batteries )
  • Stay on sidewalk whenever possible. (if there is no sidewalk walk on the left side of the road).
  • Obey ALL traffic rules.
  • Don't assume you have the right of way.
  • Just because one car stops doesn't mean others will.
  • Trick or treat only in familiar neighborhoods.
  • Trick or treat in a group and stay with the group.
  • If your costume has a mask make sure the eye holes are big enough to see through well
  • Make sure your costume doesn't drag on the ground (you could trip and hurt yourself)
  • Remove your mask or any object that will limit you vision before crossing any street, driveway, or
    alley
  • Only visit houses that have lights on
  • Always use the front door, never go to the back of a house or inside the house.
  • Stay away from animals that you don't know
  • Carry an extra Halloween bag in case yours breaks. (you wouldn't want to lose all that candy).
  • Don't eat any treats until they are throughly check by mom and dad at home
  • Remember your manners, don't forget to say "Thank you"
  • And of course remember to have FUN
