Trick or Treating
Safety Tips
Carry a flashlight to help see sidewalks, steps, and paths. (be sure to check the batteries and you may
even want to use fres
h/new
batteries )
Stay on sidewalk whenever possible. (if there
is
no sidewalk walk on the left side of the road
).
Obey ALL traffic rules.
Don't assume you have the right of way.
Just because one car stops doesn't mean other
s
will.
Trick or treat only in familiar neighborhoods.
Trick or treat in a group and stay with
the
group.
If your costume has a mask make sure the eye holes are big enough to see through well
Make sure your costume doesn't drag on the ground (you could trip and hurt yourself)
Remove you
r
mask or any object that will limit you vision before crossing any street, driveway, or
alley
Only visit houses that have lights on
Always use the front door, never go to the back of a house or inside the house.
Stay away from animals that you don't know
Carry an extra Halloween bag in case yours breaks. (you wouldn't want to lose all that candy
)

Don't eat any treats until they are throughly check

Remember your manners, don't forget to say "Thank you"
And of course remember to have FUN
